After
graduating from the University of Naples in 1987, Damiano
Vaudo joined and subsequently became a partner of the historical
Studio Legale Vincenzini, where he acquired considerable
experience in maritime law and international carriage, average,
ship and yacht construction, sale-purchase, underwriting
and finance. He is now a barrister.
His considerable experience as an officer in the Italian Navy has proven invaluable
in his handling of many major casualties.

Specialised
in ship construction and finance and in the preparation of
charter party forms, he has successfully handled important
suits on behalf of ship owners against the Italian government.
He is a consultant in the shipping sector for government
and financial institutions as well as for ship owning groups.
He is frequently called upon to lecture at Seminars and educational
courses on shipping law, with particular regards to pleasure
craft charter parties and pollution prevention. He is a professor
of Shipping Law at the School of Specialisation for the Legal
Profession of Pisa University.
